As we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord in Bethlehem, we want to pray for the victims of the tragedies in the world, and for the benefactors who assist in helping the poor. May the born infant of Bethlehem bless all and everyone.
Profound gratitude to Emanuela, Roberto, Franco, to all the team of the social cooperative LA ZATTERA (Milan) and to all the boys and girls part of that beautiful community, for inviting me to share a unique experience and bestow a Christmas blessing. It was a joy and an honor. I will not forget your heartwarming welcome and your sweet gifts.
Be all assured of my prayers and support from the Holy Land.
The funds raised in Jerusalem to contribute to Fr. Aubin AMOUZOU medical evacuation (see blogspot post of 02/12/2024) was successfully transferred to his Franciscan province in Togo. Thank you to all the donors.

200 USD from Singapore group donation (see blogspot post of 01/12/2024) was granted as part of a collection raised for the evacuation of Fr. Aubin AMOUZOU. Fr Aubin, franciscan friar formed in St Saviour's Monastery in Jerusalem and serving as priest in Togo was involved in a very severe road accident on the evening of November 16th from which he sustained several injuries. As a result of the accident, both his legs were amputated. Because the hospital in Lomé is not capable of dealing with the other injuries, and especially the repairing of his collarbone, a collection has been initiated by his Franciscan province for him to be evacuated.

Dear friends, today we start a new liturgical year: the old has passed, the new has come. In the year ended, you have been many to support our projects for the needy in the Holy Land and in various parts of Africa. As this year begins, a year in which we will celebrate a Jubilee of God's love and mercy, we want to thank you for all your efforts and assistance. May the time of Advent preparing us to our Lord Jesus Nativity be a worthy time of openness to the Lord who is always looking for a welcoming abode among us and in us.
Blessed Advent / Fructueux temps de l'Avent / Santo Avvento 2024
